Pennsylvanians do not mess around when it comes to donuts. We know the difference between a quick grocery-store dozen and the kind of donut worth waking up early for, standing in line for, and pretending you only bought “for the family.” From Oram’s in Beaver Falls with those legendary old-school donuts, to Beiler’s in Reading Terminal Market, to Yum Yum Bake Shops in Bucks and Montgomery County, to Suzy-Jo Donuts in Bridgeport, this state has plenty of local spots that prove a good donut is basically a Pennsylvania love language. Glazed, filled, powdered, cream-stuffed, chocolate-covered, or just plain warm and fresh, National Donut Day feels like one holiday we were already celebrating anyway.
Even our grocery stores make great donuts; ask around and you might just hear that, low key, people even think Weis Markets actually has the best donuts
