At Albright LIFE Franklin, we’re celebrating National PACE Month by sharing Liz’s story from our Lycoming center. 💙
With support from her LIFE team, Liz regained independence and moved into a place of her own. We’re happy to help celebrate that milestone!
Her advice: “Don’t give up. You have to live.”

This National PACE Month we recognize the participants who make our program so special! This is Liz's story, a reminder of how much the right support can mean for an older adult and their family. 💙
After moving to Williamsport to be closer to her daughter, Liz experienced repeated hospital and nursing home stays. She depended on her daughter for help with everyday tasks, but wanted more independence.
With support from Albright LIFE Lycoming, Liz moved from a nursing home into a shared apartment and eventually into a place of her own.
Today, Liz lives independently and attends the LIFE center twice a week. She enjoys Tai Chi, diamond art, and walking—earning “Walker of the Month” after completing more than 100 laps in one month! Working with the dietitian has also helped her make changes to support her health.
And if you know Liz, you know her sense of humor. She brings laughter to the center and enjoys connecting with the people around her.
For Liz and her daughter, these changes have meant more independence for Liz and fewer caregiving responsibilities for her daughter. More room to simply enjoy being family.
Liz’s advice? “Don’t give up. You have to live.”
During National PACE Month, we’re celebrating Liz and the everyday moments that make a difference: a walk, a laugh with a friend, and coming home to a place of your own.
