💛 Carter's Food Drive Comes at the Perfect Time🦥
If you know Carter, you know two things: he loves sloths, and he has a huge heart. While navigating childhood cancer, 8-year-old Carter recently set out to help other families facing similar challenges. With support from Polaris Academy and Starlight Behavior Academy, he organized a food drive benefiting our Food Pantry.
The response was incredible.
Boxes and bags of food filled the back of a truck, arriving just in time for one of our busiest weeks at the pantry. We currently serve approximately 35 families each month, and that number continues to grow. As more families turn to us for support, donations like Carter's help ensure our shelves stay stocked with the essentials families need.
Carter knows firsthand how difficult a childhood cancer diagnosis can be for an entire family. Yet instead of focusing only on what he's facing, he chose to help others facing it too. We're incredibly grateful to Carter, his family, and everyone at Polaris Academy and Starlight Behavior Academy who helped make this food drive possible.
