😶🌫️ Why do I have brain fog?
Brain fog can feel like forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, trouble finding words, mental fatigue, or simply feeling like your brain isn’t as sharp as it used to be.
And while brain fog isn’t a medical diagnosis, persistent symptoms may be worth investigating.
Poor sleep, blood sugar changes, perimenopause and menopause, thyroid dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, chronic stress, medications, recent illness or Long COVID, mental health concerns, and other medical conditions can all contribute.
The important part? There isn’t one universal cause—or one universal solution.
At Pro Health Functional Medicine in Chandler, AZ, we look at symptoms in the context of the whole person. Depending on your individual needs, that may include evaluating sleep, metabolic health, thyroid function, hormones, nutrition, medications, health history, and appropriate lab work.
If you’ve been thinking, “I just don’t feel as sharp as I used to,” don’t automatically assume it’s something you have to accept with age.
Your symptoms are information. Understanding what’s contributing to them is the first step.
