A patient came in last month after leaving her third primary care practice in two years.

She wasn't dramatic about it. She just kept leaving, and she couldn't fully explain why.

So we talked it through. And the same three things kept coming up.

She never felt like the doctor had enough time to actually hear her. She could never get in when something came up. And every appointment felt like one problem at a time — never the full picture.

Those three things aren't small complaints. They're the pillars of what good primary care actually looks like.

💡 Time. Access. Whole-person attention.

Time means appointments long enough to cover what's really going on — not a 10-minute slot that rushes you out the door. At Desert Willow, visits run 30 to 60 minutes.

Access means getting in the same day or next day when you need it, not waiting weeks and ending up at urgent care instead.

Whole-person attention means your doctor considers your mental health, your lifestyle, your chronic conditions — not just the one symptom you came in for.

If your current provider isn't hitting all three, it might explain that quiet feeling that something's off. You're not being too picky. You just know what good care should feel like.

Brain fog at 2pm. Sleep that never feels deep enough. A metabolism that stopped cooperating years ago.

These are not just aging. They are signals worth investigating.

A lot of women are told their labs are "normal" and sent home without answers. But normal on a standard panel doesn't always mean optimal for you. Fatigue, brain fog, poor sleep, and changes in metabolism during perimenopause are real symptoms with real causes. They deserve a real look.

At Desert Willow, our approach to hormone support isn't about quieting symptoms so they're easier to ignore. It's about understanding what your body is actually telling you, then building a treatment plan that's carefully monitored, clinically sound, and tailored specifically to you.

Fatigue and fog are clues, not fate. If you've been brushing off how you feel, we'd love to have that conversation. 💛

You pay $400 a month in premiums. Then you walk in the door and still owe a copay.

It's one of the most common frustrations we hear from patients considering a change. So let's put both models side by side and let you decide what actually fits your life.

With a DPC membership like ours, you pay one flat monthly fee. No copays. No surprise bills. Same- or next-day appointments, and direct access to your provider — by phone, text, or in person. It works best for people who want predictable costs and a real relationship with their doctor.

With insurance-based primary care, you pay a monthly premium plus copays at each visit. Appointments can take weeks to get. Most referrals require prior authorization. It works best for people who need access to specialist networks or hospital coverage.

Neither model is wrong. They solve different problems. 💡

If your biggest frustrations are wait times, mystery bills, and feeling like a number — DPC is worth a serious look.

Somewhere along the way, most of us stopped expecting much from a doctor's visit.

You learned to pack your concerns into 10 minutes. You stopped asking about cost because you knew you wouldn't find out until the bill arrived. You repeated your medical history at every appointment because no one seemed to remember it. You called the office and waited on hold, because that's just how it works.

It doesn't have to work that way.

Here's what you actually have the right to expect from primary care:

✔ To be seen same day or next day when you're sick — not next week
✔ A full explanation before any prescription is written
✔ To know the total cost before any service happens, not after
✔ A provider who remembers your history without you repeating it
✔ Enough time to cover everything on your list
✔ To reach your provider directly — not navigate a phone tree

These aren't perks. They're the baseline of what good primary care looks like.

At Desert Willow, every one of those things is standard. No insurance required, no surprise bills, no rushing. Just a membership that puts you and your provider back in the same room — with enough time to actually do something about it.

If you've never experienced care like this, we'd love to show you what you've been missing.

Most people leave their doctor's appointment with at least one question they didn't ask.

Not because they forgot. Because they didn't want to seem difficult. Didn't want to take up too much time. Didn't want to question someone with a degree on the wall.

So the question just sat there, unanswered, all the way home.

At Desert Willow, our appointments run 30 to 60 minutes — and you have our number for the moments in between. That kind of time and access exists for a reason: so you can actually say the things you came in to say.

Questions like:
✔ "Can you walk me through exactly what this diagnosis means?"
✔ "What happens if I choose not to treat this right now?"
✔ "Is there a less expensive option that would still work?"
✔ "Can you explain why you're recommending this and not something else?"
✔ "I didn't understand that — can you say it differently?"
✔ "I want a second opinion. Is that okay?"

Every single one of these is allowed. More than allowed — expected. Asking them doesn't make you a difficult patient. It makes you an informed one.

That's what relationship-centered care actually looks like. 💙

Tired all the time. Can't focus. Waking up at 3am for no reason.

Those aren't just "getting older" — they're often hormonal signals your body has been sending for months (or years).

Swipe through to see the two most common ways these symptoms get mismanaged, and what a smarter approach actually looks like. 💡

If this sounds familiar, we're here to help you figure out what's actually going on.

Exhausted at 2pm, wide awake at 2am, and gaining weight even though nothing in your routine has changed. That's not just stress or getting older.

Those three things together are often your body's way of flagging a hormone imbalance — and most people brush them off for years before anyone actually checks.

We put together three signs worth paying attention to. Swipe through and see if any of them sound familiar. 💛

If they do, we're easy to reach — no voicemail maze, no weeks-long wait for answers.

Most people choose a primary care provider based on one thing: who's in-network.

And then they spend years frustrated by 15-minute appointments, bills that show up weeks later, and phone trees that never seem to reach an actual person.

We've seen what changes when patients understand the real differences between insurance-based care and membership care before they decide. Not after they've already signed up for something. Before.

So we put together a guide with 4 things worth knowing first:

→ How access actually works (and why it matters more than you think)
→ What "no copay" really means in practice
→ When a membership model actually saves you money
→ What a 30-minute visit changes about your care

These are the things patients tell us they wish someone had explained earlier.

If you're weighing your options — or just starting to ask questions — this one's worth a few minutes of your time. 💙

Don't choose a primary care provider until you find one that actually does all of this:

Sees you the same or next day. Spends 30 to 60 minutes with you, not eight. Texts or calls you back directly, no voicemail loop, no front desk relay. And bills you one flat monthly fee with zero copays and no surprise costs.

Most people have never had a doctor who checks all four boxes. Not because good care doesn't exist, but because the traditional insurance model structurally can't offer it. Fifteen-minute slots, three-week waits, and a phone tree are built into that system by design.

At Desert Willow, this is just what primary care looks like. $69 a month. Unlimited visits. A doctor who knows your name and answers your messages. 💙

If that's the kind of care you've been looking for, we'd love to be your practice.

Your labs came back normal. You're still exhausted, gaining weight for no clear reason, and waking up unrefreshed after 8 hours of sleep.

That's not in your head. And it's not a contradiction.

There's a gap between "not sick" and "actually well" — and most people are living in it. We call it subclinical drift: when your body is off-balance but the tests haven't caught up yet.

Swipe through to see what that looks like in real life. 💡
