September 11, 2001 — We Remember.

Twenty-five years ago, EMS professionals answered a call unlike any other.

Paramedics and EMTs entered an unfolding catastrophe with limited information, enormous uncertainty, and an overwhelming number of people who needed help.

Many never returned home.

Today, EMERGILITY® EMS honors the paramedics, EMTs, physicians, nurses, dispatchers, firefighters, and emergency medical professionals who served that day—and those who have continued to answer the call ever since.

The emergency may end. The responsibility to care does not.

Some dates are remembered.

Some dates are felt.

September 11 is both.

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation watched in disbelief as thousands of innocent people lost their lives.

And while millions were trying to get away from the danger, thousands of responders were moving toward it.

Firefighters climbed stairs knowing they might never come back down.

Police officers entered buildings and streets where danger was unfolding.

Paramedics and EMTs prepared to treat the injured before they even knew what they would encounter.

Physicians, nurses, dispatchers, emergency workers, military personnel, and countless others answered the call.

They did what responders do: they went toward the people who needed them.

Many never came home.

Others did—but carried the experience with them for the rest of their lives.

Today, we remember the victims.
We honor the survivors.
We recognize the families who lost loved ones.
And we stand with the responders who continue to carry the weight of that day.

At EMERGILITY® and Responder Care™, we believe caring for those who protect and serve cannot stop when the emergency ends.

Readiness matters. Protection matters. And responder care matters.

To every firefighter, EMT, paramedic, law enforcement officer, emergency dispatcher, nurse, physician, military member, and responder who has answered the call:

EMT Certification A 4-year certification, the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a Basic Life Support (BLS) level certification in pre-hospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) . This 120-hour course prepares students for Virginia and National Registry (NREMT) testing/certification.

Course Description
The EMT course prepares the EMT student to provide prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include an introduction to emergency medical services systems, roles and responsibilities of EMTs, anatomy and physiology, medical emergencies, trauma, and special considerations for working in the prehospital setting.
