Break from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

You do not need to already be an RBT to apply. We provide the training and certification coursework you need to get started.

Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a drug test

The Developmental Advantage is proud to announce that our Chief Operating Officer, Ryan Raynes, has officially earned his Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential!

Ryan's journey in applied behavior analysis has been built on years of dedication, hard work, and a passion for serving children and families. He began his career as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), earned his BCaBA credential, and joined The Developmental Advantage in 2020 as a BCaBA and Clinic Supervisor. In 2025, Ryan transitioned into the role of Chief Operating Officer, where he has continued to lead our organization while remaining committed to clinical excellence. Now, he celebrates another major milestone by becoming a BCBA.

In addition to his leadership at The Developmental Advantage, Ryan serves as the Chair of the West Virginia ABA Workforce Development Committee, where he works alongside providers across the state to strengthen the ABA workforce and improve access to high-quality services for individuals and families.

Ryan's commitment to our clients, families, staff, and the continued growth of ABA in West Virginia is evident every day. His leadership, compassion, and dedication have helped shape The Developmental Advantage into the organization it is today, and earning his BCBA further strengthens the clinical expertise of our team.

We are growing our CSED Waiver team and are looking for Family Therapists across West Virginia!

As a CSED Family Therapist, you'll provide in-home and community-based services that help children with serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs remain successful in their homes and communities. You'll work alongside families, treatment teams, and community supports to create lasting positive change.

This position is open statewide and offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your local community.

We are looking for licensed professionals, as well as individuals who are license-eligible and working toward independent licensure with supervision. If you are an LPC, psychologist, social worker, BCBA, or another qualified professional interested in helping children and families, we'd love to talk with you.

Real Work. Real Impact.

Meet Tori R., RBT

When Tori first started looking into ABA, she admits she didn’t know much about the field. Having a brother with autism made her want to better understand what support and resources were available for families, which eventually led her to becoming an RBT.

Now, she’s found a passion in working with children and helping them grow every day.

One moment she says will always stick with her was watching her first client graduate from ABA services. While it was emotional to say goodbye, it was also the moment she realized just how meaningful this work really is.

“ABA was simply a stepping stone to this kid’s whole future. I love knowing that the work I do helps build a foundation for children’s entire lives.”

Tori says becoming an RBT helped shape her future in ways she never expected. What started as uncertainty turned into a passion for helping children learn, grow, and succeed. She is now pursuing early childhood education and hopes to continue working with young children for years to come.

Her advice for anyone thinking about becoming an RBT?

“Just do it. Don’t let being nervous or inexperienced stop you. You’ll be trained and supported, and you truly have the opportunity to impact lives here.”

We are proud to have Danielle as part of our team at The Developmental Advantage.

The work our staff does each day is about so much more than behavior goals. It is helping children build independence, learn daily living skills, strengthen communication, and gain confidence in everyday life.

Whether it is teaching self care routines, supporting communication through vocal language or AAC, or celebrating progress that may seem small to others, these moments matter.

Meet Heaven

After discovering the field and becoming an RBT, Heaven found a passion for helping others and hopes to continue growing within the field of ABA.

Becoming an RBT has taught her to appreciate and celebrate every milestone. What may seem small to some can be a huge step for others, and being able to witness that progress is one of the most rewarding parts of the job!

Being an RBT is more than a job. It’s the opportunity to make a difference, celebrate growth, and help children build skills that support greater independence.

Communication is often the key. Many behaviors are a person trying to get a need met. When we teach a clear, functional way to communicate, things start to change.

That’s what Functional Communication Training is all about. Teaching clients how to ask for what they need in a way that works. When that skill builds, behavior improves and independence grows.
