Lawmakers wrapped up the fourth week of the 2026 legislative session on Friday and are now focused on the first major deadline of the session for committees to report general bills on Tuesday, February 3rd.
‼️CALL TO ACTION‼️
HB 1672 (Pharmacy Benefit Prompt Pay Act; revise) authored by Representative Donnie Scoggin is before the House State Affairs Committee and faces a deadline for consideration this Tuesday, February 3rd.
💙HB 1672 Keeps Small Town Pharmacies In Our Communities. When a local pharmacy closes, patients lose access - especially seniors and rural families.
💙HB 1672 Brings Transparency To Drug Pricing. It stops hidden markups that drive up costs for patients at the counter.
💙HB 1672 Ensures Pharmacies are Paid Fairly and Promptly. Prohibits reimbursement below acquisition cost, bans retroactive claw backs, and enforces strict payment timelines - helping to keep local pharmacies open, especially in rural communities.
Patients - Not PBMs - Should Choose Where They Fill Prescriptions. HB 1672 protects that choice.
PLEASE CONTACT MEMBERS OF THE STATE HOUSE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE THAT ARE IN YOUR TOWN OR COUNTY AND URGE THEIR SUPPORT FOR HB 1672 WITH NO AMENDMENTS.
