If you've been in my classes lately, you know my most recent obsession...
Now named MRB's (thank you Carolyn Juarez), LOL MRB = myofascial release balls, because every time I say "grab your balls" all of the grown adults in the room can't stop laughing 🤣 you may think you're immune to the giggles but trust me, you're not.
But for real, one of my favorite new tools/modalities that I loveeee bringing into classes at Be Wild Yoga and that I even trekked with me to Portugal! A gift these yogis can practice at home.
At this retreat we focused on our nervous system. We played and danced in the middle of class, we practiced EFT, yoga nidra, slow flow, yin, vinyasa, MFR, self massage, meditation, presence, silent walks, journaling, group and 1:1 sharing, mantra work, various pranayama styles, coherence breathing, and sooo much more. No retreat class fits into one box. One class we were practicing for 83 minutes and everyone was SHOCKED as it flew by. Our 40 minute nidra felt like 15. What a gift this practice is!! To keep us on our toes. To show us endless ways to meet ourselves.
And after classes, we'd get stuck standing in groups, talking about yoga. How to live it. What it means to meditate and how it changes us. About anger and fear. About choosing to think and be different than we've always been. That it CAN be different, if we choose to make it so.
Thanks to my teachers, especially Caroline Wybar !! Thanks to my students, for teaching me and for having open hearts to all of the strange and different things we do in our practices.
