This week's featured childhood cancer hero is Lauren O'Malley, a brain tumor hero who has also just graduated college with her nursing degree over the weekend!

A long-time supporter of ALSF, Lauren was diagnosed with a glioma in 2012 at only 7 years old. She and her family attribute both Lauren's incredible perseverance and the clinical trials and new inhibitor medications that ALSF helped fund to Lauren's healing and growth.

This past weekend, she graduated nursing school with a job lined up to become a nurse anesthetist, something important to her: she's been put under anesthesia more than 100 times during treatment, and both her grandmothers were nurses as well. Today, her cancer is stable, and she is looking forward to helping other kids with cancer! She is our hero!
