Soul 139 BIG CHANGES

For all who have followed my journey for the past 8 years, thank you!

I have some exciting news to share with you!

Soul 139 has a new Executive Director. Her name is Cissy Parker (a lot of you may already know her!) she will be running Soul 139 from now on.

It was on my heart to step down in this new season of my life and it was on her heart to step up.

So she will be growing the ministry by focusing on missions in Guatemala, India and whatever country God calls her to, as well as local missions & serving our own community.

It will not just be about the hair (it never was to begin with...)

She will be helping to provide basic needs such as bunk beds, water filters, stoves, clothes and shoes for international missions. And for local she will be participating in food distributions, collect and distribute school supplies, help with weekend book bags in schools, distribute Thanksgiving Meal’s and Christmas for kids and distributing blankets to the homeless.

Thank you to all who have supported me while I ran Soul 139 over these past 8 years! It was a blessing to have you with me! Now I’m passing the baton and seeing what God will do.

So if you’d like to continue donating towards Soul 139, I know she would appreciate the support, she has lots in store for 2020 so let’s stand with her!

We are a Christian non-profit designed to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our city and beyond. Our goal is to those in unfortunate circumstances of life, by providing haircuts and teaching the trade of cutting hair, so that people can earn a living for their family.

Thank you to all who have been donating towards the volcano relief. Yesterday Luis from Calvary Chapel was able to purchase a generator for the firefighters (bomberos) They are heading into the little villages where there is no electricity, & in some rescue missions they have had to stay after sunset.
They are volunteer and have to raise their own support for their income, so they do not have a lot to spend on such things. So they work without!
Thank you for making this a possibility!

I keep looking at these pictures and the pain in peoples faces... I cannot imagine what they are going through right now. The people of El Rodeo already have nothing. They work so hard to survive on a daily basis... now they truly have nothing...
nothing to go back to, no home, no clothes, except what’s on their back, no food, no water, and some possibly no family... it’s heart wrenching.

We are doing everything we can here by collecting donations and sending it down to our Church, Calvary Chapel Antigua. They have been purchasing coffins for families, as well as bringing car loads of food and water.

Let’s help them support their people!! We have the means here, they don’t, and yet they are giving every little they have. $1 to us isn’t a big deal. $1 to them is HUGE. So to see people (kids!!!!) emptying their piggy banks to use everything in it to purchase items for the people who need it most is encouraging and inspiring (& brings me to tears!).
We can be a big help with what we have here!

Apparently the two little boys at the end of the pics smiling were lost from each other after running to get out of the smoke and the pic was taken when they found each other after. Their smiles are the best.
