We focus on creating a community in which everyone develops supportive connections, becomes the person they want to be, and finds the answers to their personal challenges that lie within.

Season’s Greetings from Life Connections!
As we reflect on the year, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the lives we’ve touched and the support that makes it all possible. In 2024, Life Connections was privileged to provide services to 194 young people referred by the juvenile court. Through partnerships with seven North Carolina counties—Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Anson, Richmond, Stanly, Lee, and Union—we delivered nine impactful programs designed to restore hope and rebuild futures.
From Mentoring to GED Instruction, Family Skill Building, Vocational Training, and Mental Health Counseling, our services focus on fostering growth and empowerment. Milestones from 2024 include:
Our move to a standalone office at 3301 Tennessee Ave in March, providing a welcoming space to better serve our clients.
Completing our first comprehensive audit in September, paving the way for future funding opportunities with foundations, corporations, and government grants.
Two new Family Skill Building Programs in Guilford and Richmond Counties for FY 2025, ensuring even more families will be supported in the coming year.
This year also marked the expansion of our Workforce Development Program, which, through contracts, helped over 100 adults gain new skills, reenter the workforce, or elevate their careers. We’re thrilled these partnerships have been renewed for 2025, allowing us to continue this vital work.
Looking towards 2025
Our strategic plan guides us toward ambitious goals, including:
Ensuring 77% of court-referred youth do not reoffend.
Helping 81% of Workforce Development participants secure new jobs or advance in their current roles.
Diversifying funding sources to sustain our mission.
Adding key administrative support to our Executive Director.
Growing our board to 15 engaged members.
Raising $200,000 in unrestricted funds to empower our mission.
