We love working with members of the Ehlers Danlos community (and some of our team members are pretty hyper-mobile too!) It can be hard to find PTs and OTs who know how to help patients with EDS reduce pain and get back to doing the things they love- but it’s part of what we do everyday here at Uplift PT and Wellness!

We’ve been getting lots of questions lately about — what it is, and what to do when it may be contributing to pain or dysfunction.

Fascia is part of a complex body system involving muscles, joints, nerves, and connective tissue, all working together to support movement and function. When one part of the system becomes restricted or overloaded, it can affect how the entire body moves and feels.

Understanding fascia is less about “fixing” one isolated tissue and more about improving the way the body moves as a whole. In this post, we’re breaking down what fascia is, how it can contribute to discomfort, and some of the ways physical therapy can help improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. chatham

Celebrating our incredible OT this Occupational Therapy Awareness Month 💛
Shellee’s work in infant feeding and gentle bodywork helps our tiniest patients and their caregivers. From supporting positioning and coordination to easing tension she brings skill, patience, and compassion to every family she serves.
We’re so grateful to have her as part of our team and for the impact she makes every single day.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛
Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 people who menstruate are affected by endometriosis, yet so many go years without answers. It takes an average of 7-10 years for women to get properly diagnosed. Painful periods, pain with in*******se, bloating, painful bowel movements and chronic pelvic pain are often dismissed as “normal”—but they’re not.
At our clinic, we have a special passion for helping patients with endometriosis . Pelvic floor physical therapy can help reduce pain and scar tissue, improve mobility, and support your nervous system so your body feels safer, stronger and calmer. We can also help refer you to local and regional specialists to further support your care.
If you’ve been told your pain is something you just have to live with, we want you to know: there are options, and you deserve support.
💛 You are not alone
💛 Your pain is real
💛 Help exists 🎗
