✈️One of the most frustrating things for someone losing weight is to not see the work pay off.
🔥After 12 years of working with weight loss clients, one of the best pieces of advice I can give is to not focus on lifting weights early into your journey.
We tend to relate time spent in the gym with weight loss.
⭐️The truth is though, only 5% of your daily calorie burn comes from time spent in the gym.
⭐️15% of your daily calorie burn comes from all other daily movement and this includes walking.
If you’re new to weight loss then just focus on increasing your daily step count and decreasing the amount of time you sit.
Here are a few benefits to this approach:
✅It’s a much more realistic habit to create
✅It’s more likely to cause weight loss
✅It will help prevent gym resentment
Lifting weights is incredible for your overall health.

✅Increased strength
✅More confidence
✅Better sleep
✅Mobility
✅Better functional movement
✅Increased s*x drive
It will also boost your metabolism overall but this takes time because it takes time to put on muscle.
⭐️Think of weight lifting as a way to maintain your weight loss after reaching your goal but don’t associate it with the actual process of losing weight.
