It’s not the same for everyone! Your skin type will obviously make a difference—if your skin is on the dry side, you may not need it at all.

But there are other factors too, like the ingredients in your mineral foundation and what is actually in your setting or finishing powder. In fact, there is a difference between the types.

I’ve been formulating mineral makeup for almost 18 years, but I don’t claim to be a professional makeup artist. 😊

I enjoy a more glamorous look at times, but for everyday life—running errands, heading to work, or getting ready in a hurry—there isn’t always time for a full makeup routine.

This is one of my favorite simple looks: a little mineral foundation, a base eyeshadow, bronzer, lip balm, and a touch of eyeliner, mascara, and brow pencil.

Nothing complicated…just a few minutes and a little polish that can make a world of difference.

I spent a lot of time researching this one because I kept coming back to the same question: what actually makes a foundation clean?

I was surprised by how much confusion there is around the term “clean beauty.” The FDA does not define it, and there is no certification process a brand has to go through before putting it on a label.

Once I started looking more closely at ingredients, I found myself paying more attention to things I used to overlook. What changes when water is added? Are some of those long ingredient lists actually doing much? Are certain trendy ingredients there because they are helpful, or because they sound impressive?🧐

How did YOU learn to put on blush?😊

You’ve at least outgrown the pathetic little mini blush brush you would get with some of your blushes as a teenager, right?😂 (Anyone remember Covergirl’s Cheekers blushes?💕)
