Good advice for any student!

1.) Modify the daily routine to accommodate children returning after an extended break. Adjust activities like the morning meeting, free play, and group sessions to reduce stress. Keep the routine intact but shorten activities to ease the transition.

2.) During the initial weeks back, revisit past favorite activities to rebuild confidence. Opt for familiar, successful experiences, such as simple science experiments or beloved music and movement sessions, to reignite children's enthusiasm and engagement.

3.) Address forgotten routines after a prolonged absence. Remind individual children about material use and care, such as washing paintbrushes and correctly handling classroom items, without the need for a whole-group reintroduction.

It’s true folks! I don’t know how many times that teachers fight this when ask where is your data for accommodations or strategies? It’s in the federal law, who knew?

Tracking Accommodations is required to show proof the student was given them.
