What happens when tightness in the psoas limits the way your hip moves? 🧐
Before treatment, this client’s right leg had approximately 40° less range of motion than the left. After a targeted psoas release, we tested the same stretch again and saw an immediate improvement in mobility.
WHAT IS THE PSOAS?
The psoas is a deep hip flexor that can become tight from prolonged sitting, repetitive movement, physical activity, and everyday stress on the body. When it is restricted, you may notice hip or lower-back tightness, reduced mobility, or discomfort during certain movements.
Massage therapy can help address muscular tension and improve how freely the body moves. If one side feels tighter, stiffer, or more restricted than the other, it may be time to stop working around it and find out what is contributing to the imbalance.
