God doesn't make mistakes.

Everything about you—your personality, experiences, strengths, gifts, and even your physical body—was created with intention.

So often, we focus on what we wish were different. We see imperfections, limitations, wrinkles, scars, extra weight, or features we'd rather change.

Yet God sees His creation.

The same God who formed your heart, mind, and spirit also formed your body. It may not look exactly how you wish it did, but it was never meant to determine your worth. Your body is not a mistake to fix. It is a gift to steward.

Understanding how God designed us helps us better understand our purpose. When we know who we are and how we're wired, we can stop comparing ourselves to others and start embracing the life we were created to live.

You may see flaws…..➡️ God sees someone fearfully and wonderfully made.

And here's the beautiful truth: God doesn't call the qualified—He equips those He calls.

Whatever purpose He has for your life, He has already given you what you need to walk it out.

You were created intentionally.
You were created uniquely.
You were created for a purpose.
God doesn't make mistakes.

Neglecting our physical needs doesn't mean we're failing.

Often, it reveals what we believe about our worth.

Many of us have learned to measure our value by how we look, how much we accomplish, or what others think of us. Over time, these beliefs can shape the way we care for ourselves.

When our worth feels tied to appearance, achievement, or approval, self-care often becomes inconsistent.

We show up for ourselves when we feel "good enough" and neglect ourselves when life feels heavy or we feel like we've fallen short.

But when our worth is no longer dependent on those things, something begins to change.

We stop caring for ourselves to earn value and begin caring for ourselves because we already have it.

Rest becomes stewardship, not laziness.

Nourishment becomes care, not punishment.

Movement becomes gratitude, not obligation.

Take a moment and consider which of these messages you've believed:

➡️ My body is a problem to fix.
➡️ I'll feel worthy when I lose weight.
➡️ Rest is lazy or unproductive.
➡️ My value comes from being productive.
➡️ I have to push through no matter how I feel.
➡️ My needs can wait.
➡️ If I take care of myself, I'm being selfish.
➡️ I have to earn rest.
➡️ My worth depends on how I perform.

Awareness is where change begins.

Unforgiveness has a way of keeping us grounded when God created us to soar.

This is something we’ve been teaching Project Free 2 Fly | 501c3 Nonprofit

Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was okay. It doesn’t excuse the hurt. But it does free your heart from carrying a weight it was never meant to hold.

As believers, we’re called to forgive—not because others deserve it, but because Christ forgave us.

Hold on to your worth. Release the bitterness. Don’t give unforgiveness a place in your heart.

There is freedom on the other side of letting go.

Lately, God has been reminding me of something I so easily forget:

There is nothing I can do to earn, deserve, or strive for His love.

The truth is, I’m not enough because of what I do. I’m enough because He loves me.

So much of our lives can be spent trying to appear polished, longing to be accepted, or quietly hoping someone will finally say, “I see you.” But chasing validation will always leave us exhausted and empty.

What if we could simply lay those desires down?

What if we truly believed that because of Jesus, we are already chosen, already known, already loved?

That’s what God offers each of us—regardless of our mistakes, our insecurities, or how far away He may seem. The God I know meets us right where we are and loves us completely.

Thank You, Jesus, for that. 🤍

His Word reminds us:

✨ “You are my beloved...” — Mark 1:11
✨ “You are a chosen people...” — 1 Peter 2:9
✨ “I have called you by name; you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1
✨ “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.” — 1 John 3:1

So stop waiting for the world to validate you and start believing what God already says about you.

Instead of pushing our emotions down or allowing them to take control, we can bring them to the One who already knows what we are feeling before we speak a word.

Our emotions are not weaknesses to overcome or problems to fix. They are signals that help us understand what is happening within us.

When we pause, notice what we're feeling, and invite God into the process, we create space for healing, growth, and wisdom.

The goal isn't to ignore our emotions or let them lead us. The goal is to acknowledge them, learn from them, and respond with intention.

The other day, my husband made me so mad. I mean mad. I was completely beside myself. 😡

Maybe you’ve been there too? 😖

I was outside mowing the yard when I started pouring my heart out to God—praying honestly about everything I was feeling and struggling to understand. Loudly!

Somewhere in that moment, I let my anger rise to Him instead of holding onto it myself. And honestly, it changed me. By the time I talked with my husband later, my heart posture was softer, calmer, and more grounded. Only God…

God can handle our emotions. He already knows our hearts, and He understands us more deeply than we even understand ourselves.

Today, we remember.

We honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country — those who laid down everything so others could live in freedom. Their sacrifice is not lost on us.

As we gather with family, enjoy the slower moments, and celebrate the gift of freedom, may we also pause with gratitude and humility.

At You Are Soaring, we believe courage, sacrifice, and love for others reflect the heart of God so deeply. Today we remember the people who lived that out so selflessly.

Praying peace and comfort over every family carrying loss today. ❤️🤍💙

So often, we try to disconnect from our emotions—as if feeling deeply is weakness, failure, or something to overcome.
But emotions were never meant to separate us from God.

They can actually draw us closer to Him.

Scripture reminds us that God is not distant or emotionless. He is gracious, merciful, patient, compassionate, and full of steadfast love. Because we are made in His image, our emotions are not something to fear or ignore—they are invitations to become aware, reflect, connect, and heal.
When we slow down long enough to understand what we’re feeling instead of running from it, we create space for God to meet us there.

“The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” Psalm 145:8
