Three years ago, I said yes to something that scared me.

After nearly 30 years in the corporate world, I was investing more time, energy, and money into building something of my own. Then I discovered 📍 East TN Getaway for Christian Creatives and decided to go.

I still remember walking into that cabin for the first time, looking around at all the talented Christian women—podcasters, authors, speakers, and business owners—and wondering:
Do I belong here?

Can I really call myself a creative?

I wasn’t sure. But I kept coming back.

This year was my third Camp for Creatives. And while that familiar feeling of maybe I don’t quite fit here still showed up, I was reminded of something important: I still have so much to learn, but I also have something to offer.

I spent time talking and hiking with incredibly talented women, including Dina Deleasa-Gonsar and the founder of GLU (God Loves You) Network. I was reminded that even women who were more experienced and further along in their journey were still learning, growing, and figuring things out.

And looking back, that first scary yes opened doors I never could have anticipated.

Rebecca George | Author & Speaker, the founder of Camp for Creatives, became my book coach.
Natalia Drumm became my editor. And along the way, I found women who believed in me and encouraged me to pursue the book I felt called to write: Rewriting Your Worth Story.

Three years ago, I walked into that cabin wondering if I belonged.

This year, I returned grateful for how far that yes had taken me.

Sometimes growth begins before we feel ready.
We just have to be willing to take the next step. đŸš¶â€â™€ïž

You never know what that yes might open the door to.

Sometimes growth feels so slow that we wonder if anything is really changing.

But God is not finished just because we can’t see the whole picture yet. The small steps, quiet seasons, and moments when we choose to keep trusting Him all matter.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Keep showing up. Keep surrendering.

Finishing the book was never meant to be the finish line. It’s an invitation to keep becoming.

Because growth with God doesn’t happen all at once. Some seasons ask us to forgive. Others ask us to set a boundary, renew our minds, rest, take a brave step, or let go of what no longer belongs.

That’s why we’re so grateful for our friend Tara Tharpe of She Is CHANGED! and The Change Architect, LLC. Tara is helping us write the final chapter of our book, sharing her CHANGED framework as a practical roadmap for navigating change with intention—seeking God, finding clarity, taking the next step, and trusting Him with what comes next.

As we’ve been sharing more about Rewriting Your Worth Story, we hope you hear this above everything else:

We can give you tools. We can share what we’ve learned. But only God can truly change you.

You may still feel the ache to prove yourself. To seek approval. To work harder so you can finally feel like you’re enough.

Those old patterns don’t always disappear overnight.

But change can look like recognizing them sooner. Like choosing not to let comparison, fear, or uncertainty make your decisions for you. Like remembering what’s true—even when the old story tries to pull you back in.

God can use people, books, conversations, circumstances, and practical tools to guide you along the way. But none of those things can change your heart on their own.

Only He can.

So as you begin to uncover the stories you’ve believed about your worth, don’t carry the pressure of changing yourself.

Lay what you’ve been carrying at His feet. Trust Him with the work only He can do.

And let Him begin rewriting your worth story.
