For the first time in more than 20 years, the FDA has approved a new sunscreen ingredient in the United States: Bemotrizinol (BEMT).

Already widely used in Europe, Asia and Australia, BEMT is the next generation UV filter that provides broad spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays it’s known for billing highly photo stable parentheses meaning it doesn’t break down as easily in the sun and parentheses, offering excellent protection while feeling lightweight in elegant on the skin. 

Why dermatologist are excited: strong UVA and UVB protection, more stable than many current sunscreen ingredients, minimal skin absorption, no white cast like some mineral sunscreens, helps support daily skin cancer prevention and anti-aging efforts as well!!!
