This month is a reminder to take care of ourselves and the people we love. Early detection matters, and a little encouragement can go a long way!

Some reminders:
💗 Know your screening schedule: Women at average risk should get a mammogram every two years between ages 40 and 74.
💕 Know what to look for: New lumps, changes in breast shape or size, skin dimpling, or unusual ni**le discharge should be checked by a healthcare provider.
💓 Know your family history: A family history of breast or ovarian cancer may mean you need earlier or additional screening.

To our patients who are navigating a breast cancer diagnosis or treatment, please know that we're here for you. 💖We're grateful to be part of your healthcare team and are always here to help with your medication questions and support you along the way.

Meet Beth, who has been a licensed pharmacist since 1985 and joined our pharmacy group five months ago! 💙 Beth is a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist who especially enjoys helping older adults manage their medications and making sure they get the most out of their treatment. 💊

Her pharmacy career has also taken her on some incredible adventures! In 1986, she was invited to travel to mainland China with a medical team after writing papers during her final quarter of pharmacy school. While there, she had the opportunity to walk the Great Wall of China and take plenty of photos along the way!

When she’s not helping patients, Beth enjoys making homemade jams and hanging out with her new kitten! 🐈‍⬛ 🍓

Carrie has been a pharmacist since 2015 and has been part of our pharmacy group for nearly three years! 💚💙

She works primarily at Centralia Pharmacy, but also helps out at Chehalis Pharmacy and Tim’s Pharmacy in Yelm, where she puts her compounding expertise to work. 🥼👩‍🔬🥽

One of Carrie’s favorite parts of pharmacy is building relationships with patients while continuing to learn how medications work and affect the body. That combination of science and personal connection is a big part of what makes pharmacy so rewarding! 💊

Outside of work, Carrie is learning to quilt, never misses Le Tour de France, and is working on transforming her front yard into a little forest through natural landscaping. 🌲🌲
