What is Moxa?
If you come to this class you will learn and experience the deep, warming, nourishing, grounding healing benefits of mugwort as moxa!
Here is some info that may be helpful to get you there!
I grow mugwort, dry it, sift it, age it and use it in many of its forms on myself, family and patients regularly. I make fine loose aged moxa, and moxa sticks.
Since I can't use smokey sticks of burning plant matter in my office, (but I am dreaming of a moxa healing hut!), I want people to learn this medicine so that they may treat themselves when they need it. And believe me, we all need it.
Moxa is a heat treatment that uses Mugwort=Artemesia Argyi, (or douglasiana) and fire.
The mugwort is dried, sifted and rolled into a cigar like stick, lit at one end and the burning end is held over the desired area. There are different ways to administer moxa, sometimes small pieces are burnt on the skin as direct moxa. There are moxa boxes. Moxa goggles. Needle moxa. Ginger moxa. Salt moxa. Dragon moxa. Monster stick thunder moxa.
Moxa heals tissues, internally and externally. Moxa chases pain and inflammation out of the body. Moxa improves organ function. Moxa helps the body resolve metabolic debris/dampness by strengthening digestive weakness with poor metabolism. It moves the stagnant blood and phlegm of PCOS, painful me**es, fibroids, endometriosis. Moxa improves brain function and memory. Moxa heals joint pains, and all types of arthritis, in the hands, feet, knees, low back, wrists. Moxa prevents miscarriage. Moxa turns a breech babe. Moxa heals a postpartum mama. Moxa regenerates nerve damage. Moxa quickens the healing of broken bones and sprains. Every time you moxa you strengthen your immune system, nourish your nervous system and nourish life. Join me for this day of mugowrt moxa healing. You won't regret it. ,
