Knee pain can show up in one place, while the source may be somewhere else.?

During a knee exam at James Clinic in Ankeny, Dr. Joe Figueroa checks more than where it hurts. He evaluates whether pain may be coming from the joint or another area, then examines the structures around the knee, including cartilage, meniscus, ligaments, muscles, tendons, and fascia.
In this visit, the exam suggested a possible meniscus concern on the symptomatic side. Dr. Joe discussed how rehabilitation may be part of care, depending on the patientโ€™s needs and evaluation.

Michelle, RN, is our Nurse Manager, at our Ankeny location, helping guide the nursing team and support the care we provide. Taylor, MA, is a Medical Assistant, Chariton & Ankeny, who helps make each patientโ€™s visit feel welcoming and well supported.
