Can’t drive post op? That’s what house calls are for. No need to delay recovery.
Post-op recovery is about more than just rest—it’s about creating the right environment for healing.
Following a meniscus transplant and bone graft, this patient is dealing with significant swelling, pain, nerve impairment, and muscle inhibition. Because she is unable to bear weight for 6–8 weeks, traditional strengthening methods aren’t an option right now.
Using Direct Current therapy, we’re helping manage post-surgical swelling and discomfort while supporting the body’s healing process. At the same time, we’re activating key muscle groups without placing additional stress on the healing joint, helping maintain neuromuscular function and reducing the deconditioning that often occurs during extended periods of non-weight bearing.
The goal: protect the surgical repair, preserve muscle function, and help fast-track the rehabilitation process so she’s in the best possible position when it’s time to progress to weight-bearing activities.
