Whether it’s a staycation or trip abroad, make sure you take your supplements!

While traveling, we eat different foods, sometimes have more cocktails, and get less sleep.

To keep your gut supported, here are 3 supplements I never travel without:

1. Magnesium

Find it hard to sleep in a different place? Take some magnesium to support improved sleep, plus it also helps with digestion!

2. Daily probiotic

If you’re not taking a probiotic, this is a must! Be sure to pack yours to support your gut microbiome.

3. Bitters or digestive enzymes

Most of us need help digesting vacation foods. Digestive enzymes break down food and support bloating and has when taking 10-15 minutes before eating.

Not getting a lot of sleep? It could be your gut!

When there are a lot of issues going on with your digestion and bacteria in your gut, it can keep you up at night.

Here’s what to do:
✨ Try magnesium!

This helps calm your body and allows you to relax. It also supports your digestion in the morning!

✨ Do a breathwork session.

Breathwork is a meditation for the mind — it can help you relax and release stress, allowing you to let it go when you’re ready for bed.

✨ Stay hydrated!

Believe it or not, being dehydrated can wreck havoc on your sleep. Try to increase your water, starting when you wake up.

✨ Take a probiotic.

If your gut microbiome is unbalanced, increasing your good bacteria can help! This helps the gut-brain connection, promoting better sleep.

Looking for ways to beat the bloat? I totally get it. Instead of stressing or skipping out on fun events, try these bloat-free tips:

✨Eat a balanced breakfast (coffee doesn’t count) - get protein + fiber + fat at all your meals
✨Take 3 deep belly breaths before you start eating - this helps get your body into rest & digest mode (better digestion = less bloat)
✨Chew your food really well - like to mushy consistency
✨Be present & enjoy the time with your family & friends - this is just fun & it helps you eat more mindfully & enjoy your food
✨Hydrate with water & minerals - start your day with a nice mineral mocktail or adrenal cocktail (sodium + potassium + vitamin C + magnesium)

One of my clients was struggling with bloating, constipation, and severe afternoon fatigue. 😣 It was really tough for her to make it through the afternoon at work.

The first thing we started working on together was adding more minerals to her routine with a daily mineral mocktail 🍹

Does your reflux & bloat keep you up at night?

On a recent strategy call, one woman shared that her acid reflux always seems to get worse at night and it messes with her sleep. 😩 Unfortunately this is really common, and it’s a vicious cycle because poor sleep can decrease the diversity of your gut microbiome and make your digestive issues even worse! 🤯

So how can you break the cycle? 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can come at it from both sides:
😴 Make small changes to improve your sleep (stay tuned for tips on how to do that!)
