First, thank you to everyone who has recently followed the AIK Family Health page. I really appreciate the support as we continue building and growing the practice here in Albany Park.
For those who are new to the page, I wanted to share a little more about AIK Family Health and how our practice works.
AIK Family Health is now open and accepting new patients.
We are a Direct Primary Care practice, which is a model that many people may not be familiar with yet. The goal is to make primary care simpler, more affordable, and easier to access.
Instead of paying for each individual visit, patients become members for one monthly fee. Membership includes:
• Care for the whole family, from newborns through older adults
• Unlimited office visits when you need them
• No insurance required and no copays for your visits
• Same-day or next-day appointments when available
• Longer visits, typically 30–60 minutes, so there is actually time to talk through your concerns without feeling rushed
• Direct access to your doctor by phone, text, or secure messaging
• Access to discounted medications and affordable lab testing when needed
Direct Primary Care can be a good option whether you have insurance or not. It may be especially helpful if you are uninsured, have a high-deductible plan, are self-employed, own a small business, or simply want a more personal and accessible relationship with your doctor. Even if you already have health insurance, you can still join AIK Family Health if you are looking for a better primary care experience.
One of the things I want to be different about AIK Family Health is continuity. You will see the same physician who gets to know you and your family over time, takes the time to listen, answers your questions, and works with you to manage your health.
