Am I going to purge? What about the sun? Is my skin going to be super dry?

We get these 3 questions to most so let’s set the record straight 👇

👉Purging?

It can happen (just like any new active being introduced to your skin) but it’s not as common as you think!

Personally, I didn’t experience a purge at all!

👉What about the sun?

It’s important to use SPF when using any active! I found applying it at night was the easiest to avoid sun!

👉Am I going to be insanely dry?

Unlike oral isotretinoin, Isoclear is applied topically which means it’s more localized. While its targeting the oil production in your skin, it’s reacting completely differently systemically.

What I found to be the most useful was to sandwich it between a hydrating serum and my moisturizer!

Does Isoclear cause dryness?

While it can cause dryness (as does every other topical), the ability to control the hydration in your skin is easier than if you’re taking oral iso!

Upwards of 90% of users on accutane report dryness as one of their side effects….

Isoclear is applied topically meaning it is more localized and therefore easier to combat the dryness!

Personally, I sandwich it in between a hydrating serum (to restore hydration after washing) and a good moisturizer which has helped SIGNIFICANTLY in keeping my skin supple 🙌🏼

Before Isoclear, when a patient wanted to take Isotretinoin (aka accutane)…it was only available orally

And with oral came blood panels, Ipledge, birth control requirements….

As with any active, redness/dryness/irritation can happen but it’s easily preventable with the proper layering of products!!

It’s so important to put a layer of hydration back on your skin FIRST to give it a barrier before the active 👀

Your routine can be as easy as:
-gentle cleanser
-hydrating toner
-hydrating serum

-moisturizer

And that’s it 🙌🏼

You need to apply a hydrating serum BEFORE your active

And then your moisturizer after!

By doing this, you are adding a barrier between your freshly washed skin and the active ingredient 🙌🏼
