Somebody needs to read this. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a conversation with someone and asked them a very direct, simple, and specific question only for them to turn around and give me the encyclopedia version of the answer. I could feel every bit of anxiety from those people and I knew instantly that they had grown up around someone that made them feel invisible because they were trying much too hard when all they needed to say was "yes" or "no."
