On Sunday I watched little ones dancing at the farmers market.
Unfettered. Twirling. Shaking. Taking up all the room. Eyeing each other up with that pure let’s play energy that needs no introduction and no permission.
I used to watch kids like that and feel something wistful. Like that version of me was a long time ago.
At 57 I can tell you — she’s not gone. She just needed some time and some work and a whole lot of permission to come back out.
Play feels like freedom to me now. Access to my inner child while fully inhabiting this adult life I’ve built. It has become one of the most deliciously nurturing and alive spaces I know how to be in.
And I want to play with you.
June 20th I’m holding our next Clarity Breathwork Ceremony and the theme is PLAY.
Come be unfettered for 90 minutes. Come take up all the room. Come breathe and move and remember what it feels like to just be without effort.

An hour before my new Thursday evening offering I had a cancellation.
Life happening — the kind that finds all of us without warning or permission.
So it was just one person and me.
I took a breath and came back to my why. Not a new decision — I made that commitment to showing up this way a long time ago. Just a moment of remembering it.
And something unexpected opened up.
The intimacy of one created a different kind of container. I offered a guided imagery meditation on intentions just before the breath — something I’d been sitting with and hadn’t yet brought into a group setting. It created something new for both of us.
She loved it. Her feedback made Saturday’s ceremony richer.
This path is not a straight line. There will be small rooms and cancellations and moments that nudge you sideways. A breath. A return to why. And then forward.
I encourage you to remember how sometimes the smallest moments that may seem to go unnoticed, the tiniest steps forward that have us wondering — have a luminous ripple effect. A magical quality that continues long after our experience together ends.

I talk a lot about receiving. Here’s what it actually looked like this morning...
Farmers market. Fresh flowers. Homegrown veggies. Live music. Little ones dancing in the street.
Good food. Good company. The kind of morning that reminds you why you do all the inner work in the first place.
I put my phone away. I stayed in the moment. I received every single bit of it.

I want to start by acknowledging how heavy it is out there right now.
Relentless. In the world and in our own lives.
And I know it can feel impossible to think about expanding or showing up for others when our own cups are empty.
So this is an invitation. To come back to service and receiving — starting with yourself. Keeping your cup full. Working the muscle of receiving. Letting that flow outward in this beautiful circular pattern to the people around you, your community, the collective.
Play with how it shows up in your life. What it feels like when you bring it out into the world.
It’s time to come back to some of the simple things that make us human. That make us whole. That create love and kindness within us.

This week I’m holding space twice.
Thursday evening May 28 at 6:30pm — for those of you who’ve been curious but Saturday mornings don’t work. Intimate. Small group. A new kind of offering.
Saturday morning May 30 at 9am — our continuing ceremony. The breath, the room, the community we keep building.
Both in Chicago. Sliding scale $25–40. Space is limited.
The last weekend of May feels like the right moment to pause. To breathe. To arrive at the beginning of summer a little more like yourself.

This song. People from all over the world, every accent, every level of power, saying the same thing. I’m not giving up.
I wasn’t planning to dance. I was in my son’s old Batman t-shirt and jeans older than most of my houseplants. But Lifeboat came on and I couldn’t help it.
This is my theme this week — for my Azul training, for my breathwork ceremonies, for myself and for you. Dedication. To yourself. To not giving up. To the luminous ripple effect of showing up even when it’s hard.

Our continuing Saturday morning ceremony. Same space, same sliding scale, same invitation.
