We have some wonderful news to share — Mom was officially discharged yesterday! 🥹🤍 She even got to ring the bell to celebrate this huge milestone, and it was such a special moment for all of us. 🔔

She is now settled into a hotel nearby and continuing her recovery. We are so grateful to share that things have been going smoothly, she is doing well, and she is in great spirits. ❤️

The road ahead still includes healing and lots of rest, but we are beyond thankful for how far she has come and for every prayer, message, and bit of support you’ve all sent our way.

Please continue to keep Mom in your thoughts and prayers as she continues this next chapter of recovery. We are so incredibly grateful. 🤍✨

With Love,

Jaykob, Jess, Zack, & Rachel 🤍

We are overjoyed to share some incredible news — our mom, Nickie Moulton, has officially received her liver transplant. 🤍

After a long journey filled with uncertainty, prayers, appointments, testing, and waiting, we finally received the call we had been hoping for. Yesterday, she underwent her liver transplant surgery and handled it exceptionally well. The surgery didn’t take as long as expected, and she was a true trooper throughout the entire process. We are grateful to share that she is stable, recovering, and her pain is being managed as she begins this next chapter of healing.

Our mom received a liver from a cardiac donor. While our hearts are full of gratitude for this incredible gift, they are also heavy knowing that another family is experiencing an unimaginable loss. We are profoundly thankful for their loved one’s decision to be an organ donor, a choice that has given our mom a second chance at life. We ask that you please keep the donor and their family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. Their generosity and selflessness will never be forgotten.

We also want to thank every single person who has supported our family throughout this journey. Whether you shared her story, donated, prayed, checked in on us, or simply kept her in your thoughts, your love and encouragement carried us through some of our hardest days.

While there is still a long recovery journey ahead, we are celebrating this blessing and the hope that comes with it. She was surrounded with love and support from not only her four children, but also her grandchildren, siblings, cousins, aunts, and so many more! We are hopeful for a smooth and speedy recovery. We are incredibly thankful, emotional, and optimistic for the future.

Please continue to keep our mom, Nickie, in your prayers as she heals, regains her strength, and adjusts to life after transplant. We ask for prayers for her continued strength, for protection from infections or complications, and for wisdom and guidance for the incredible medical team caring for her. We look forward to sharing more updates as she continues to recover.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for walking this journey with us. 🤍

Hello Everyone!!

We have created a GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden during this life-saving journey. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, our family would be incredibly grateful. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post and the fundraiser would mean just as much.

Every donation, share, prayer, and kind word helps more than you know.

Thank you for supporting our mom and our family during this difficult time. We are holding onto hope and believing that a new liver will give Nickie the second chance she deserves. 💚

Help Nickie Through Her Liver Transplant Journey After more than a decade of fighting liv… Rachel Roth needs your support for Nickie’s New Liver, New Life

We received some incredible news yesterday!

Our mom has officially been added to the liver transplant list effective immediately. There is a very real possibility that she could receive her transplant sooner than we expected, so from this point forward she has to keep her phone with her at all times and make sure it stays on—she can’t afford to miss “the call.”

As of yesterday, she is currently #1 on Northwestern’s transplant list with a MELD score of 26. Of course, if someone comes in with a higher MELD score, they would take priority, but this is still a huge step forward and an answer to so many prayers.

Her MELD score is only valid for seven days at a time, which means she’ll need weekly bloodwork to see if her score changes unless she receives a transplant before then.

We know there are still many unknowns ahead, but today we are celebrating this milestone and feeling incredibly hopeful. Please continue to keep our mom, our family, her medical team, and her future donor in your prayers. And please keep sharing her story!!

Praise the Lord for this blessing. Things may move very quickly from here if we’re fortunate, and we are trusting in His perfect timing every step of the way. 💚🙏

Welcome to our page!

This page was created to help share our mom’s story and spread awareness about living liver donation. Every share, comment, and prayer helps us reach more people. We started this page about a week ago and see the support from everyone and are so grateful!! Please keep sharing!!

Thank you for joining us on this journey. ❤️

This is our mom, Allyson — although most people know and love her as Nickie.

She’s the first person to show up when someone needs help, the one who remembers birthdays, checks in on everyone, and somehow makes every room feel a little warmer just by being in it. She’s a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who has spent her life caring for others.

Now, she needs someone to help her.

In 2012, Nickie was diagnosed with fatty liver disease. Over the years, her condition progressed to Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) and cirrhosis. After years of fighting, countless appointments, tests, and treatments, we’ve reached the point where she needs a liver transplant.

Our best hope is finding a living liver donor.

We know this is a big ask. We know donation isn’t for everyone. But we also know that miracles often begin with a simple share.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a living donor, or if you’d simply like to help by sharing this page, we would be forever grateful.

Our goal is to spread our mom’s story far and wide because we never know who might see it, who might share it, or who might become the life-saving match we’ve been praying for.

Please help us keep our mom here for more birthdays, more holidays, more family dinners, more laughs, and more memories.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting our family during this journey. ❤️
