Rosie is SO excited to share an update on our new building… we’ll be opening our new doors in JANUARY! 🎉

First things first, thank you all for your patience as we navigated some unexpected construction delays (construction, am I right?! 😅). We’re happy to report our new building finally has power and things are moving right along as we put the finishing touches on our new home and prepare for our big move!

We can’t wait to welcome you into our beautiful new space and show you everything we’ve been working so hard on. We promise it is worth the wait. ❤️

Here are some tips to keep your pets safe during this heat wave! 🌡️

🐾 Go for walks in the early morning or in the evening when temperatures are cooler
🐾 Provide access to fresh, cool water
🐾 Find shade for your pet when outdoors
🐾 Never leave your pet in the car, even for a minute
🐾 If the pavement is too hot against your hand, it’s too hot for your pet’s paws
🐾 Watch for signs of overheating, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.

If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cool area and contact us immediately.

POV: you’re standing in front of our NEW, beautiful hospital with the leadership team and their dogs. 🐾🏥

Rosie and Orla insisted on coming along to do a final inspection (mostly to make sure there’s enough room for belly rubs and horsin’ around). They’re mostly here for the treats and we’re fine with that!

Our new hospital is right around the corner at 819 W Belmont Ave and we genuinely can’t wait to have you and your pets in the new space!

Move-in date is still TBD: construction’s finishing up, and turns out Rosie and Orla haven’t signed off yet (and their approval process is taking a little longer than expected).

How can we go about our day like normal after seeing Stanley for his first visit today? We’re still not entirely convinced he’s real.

He looks like someone took a stuffed animal, added a wet nose, oversized puppy paws, and a wagging tail, and then sent him in for his first visit.

Here’s some tips to keep your pups cool during this ongoing heat wave from our very own Assistant Team Supervisor, Angie! ☀️

Watch out for these important signs of overheating:
- Excessive panting
- Drooling
- Weakness
- Collapse

If you notice these signs, contact us right away and follow these steps:
1. Move them to a cool area.
2. Offer small amounts of cool water.
3. Use cool water, not ice cold, to slowly cool them down.

🧊Ice cubes aren’t inherently dangerous, but if your dog is overheating, the goal is to control cooling and not shock their body with extreme cold.
