Among male patients with in an inpatient setting, a randomized clinical trial indicates that integrating as adjuvant therapy alongside standard treatment accelerated opioid withdrawal stabilization, reducing median time to minimal withdrawal symptoms from 9 to 5 days.
Improvements in heart rate variability, anxiety, sleep latency, and pain were observed, suggesting a measurable effect on autonomic regulation.
