Cards for Hospitalized Kids

Cards for Hospitalized Kids Doctors provide medicine and CFHK provides hope, joy & magic through uplifting, handmade cards. Over 500,000 cards have been distributed since CFHK’s inception.

Cards for Hospitalized Kids (CFHK) is a charity that distributes uplifting, handmade cards to Children’s Hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. Doctors provide the medicine and CFHK provides hope, joy & magic through our cards. CFHK was founded in 2011 by high school student named Jen Rubino. Jen’s own experiences las a "hospitalized kid", undergoing 20+ surgeries, inspired her t

o start CFHK to help others. While CFHK began as a small, local endeavor, it has gone far beyond. Using CFHK’s guidelines, individuals and groups (schools, companies, teams, etc) across the country, and abroad, donate their time + creativity to make cards and send them to CFHK for distribution. Each card is unique, just like the child or teen who receives it. People of all ages and artistic skill levels can get involved with CFHK and make cards. Students can also earn service hours for making cards for CFHK. In addition to cards, CFHK also provides autographs from our celebrity and athelte supporters such as: Olympians Nastia Liukin, Jon Horton, Danell Leyva, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman & more, MTV Star Lauren Conrad, Actress AnnaSophia Robb, Singers Jesse McCartney & Cody Simpson, and many more.

We're so grateful for the companies and stores nationwide who get involved. In many cases, these companies match their employees time volunteering with a financial donation to CFHK which has been incredibly impactful!

All CFHK's care packages are based on the kids' interests / favorites and STITCH is one of the most requested chatacters. We aim to add a variety of items to each Stitch care package but need your help. Examples include items like stuffed animals, holiday calendars, PJs, decor and add on items like books or coloring sets! We need your help to prep as many Stitch holiday care packages as possible!

Charlee, a cancer patient at who receives cards & care packages from us regularly during treatment!, with the autographs she received from us including Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, Raiderettes, Detroit Lions Cheerleaders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and more! On the right, you can also see the jumbo Taylor Swift calendar she received from us in one of our care packages!
