What’s the one question about U.S. clinical experience you haven’t been able to get a straight answer on?

Specialty choice. Timeline. Which rotations count. How to get a strong LoR from a U.S. physician. Whether you’re ready for residency applications.
Send it to us. Our AMO Advisors will answer it live at this month’s Ask Me Anything, hosted by Greta Carlson.

DM us your question, or record a short video asking it for a chance to be featured on the session.

Deadline: Tue, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. CDT (5 p.m. UTC)

Here's what makes it easy: Your rotation can be any time. December, next summer, two years from now. You're holding the placement, not the calendar.

Whatever you pay transfers. Different specialty, different city, different timing, the money moves with you.

The discount code comes out live at our free Webinar Tue Oct 13, 6 p.m. CDT with AMO Advisor, Ryan. Which specialties and locations have openings for December through March, how to plan your application backwards from break, and how to earn a strong LoR while you're there.

Free, 20 seconds to register. Link in bio.

On October 6, 1967, the first class of PAs graduated from Duke University.
There were three of them.

Fifty-nine years later, more than 180,000 PAs practice across all 50 states and 65+ specialties.

This PA Week, we're saying thank you! To every PA who sees the patient no one else had time for, to every preceptor who says yes to a student on top of a full patient load, and to every PA student counting down to their rotations. You matter and we need you.

Know a PA who made a difference in your training? Tag them below and tell them why.

Two rotations open this week. Swipe for the details.

One cohort of 60 PA students needs 480 rotation experiences before graduation.

Each of those 480 needs a site, a preceptor, a schedule, and a backup plan for when a preceptor cancels. Your coordinator is the person who finds all of them.

Meanwhile, AAMC projects a shortage of 86,000 physicians by 2036. Fewer clinicians means fewer preceptors, and the old approach of calling the same sites every year runs out of road.

This Friday at PAEA Education Forum, Scott Massey, PhD, PA-C, joins AMOpportunities to walk through the new placement math and what programs are changing to keep every student on schedule.

PAEA Education Forum
Friday, October 9, 12:30–1:00 pm CT

To all PA Programs, add the session to your Forum schedule and bring your toughest rotation question. Scott and the AMO team will stay after to answer it. Looking forward to seeing you there.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀

This month, we recognize the patients, survivors, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals whose lives are touched by breast cancer.

At AMOpportunities, we believe the future of healthcare starts with meaningful clinical education and experience.

As we help prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals, we’re reminded that exceptional care goes beyond clinical knowledge. It’s rooted in compassion, understanding, and the ability to support patients through every stage of their journey.

To those fighting, those who have survived, those we remember, and the healthcare professionals walking alongside them - we stand with you. 💗
