Crazy weather or not… here we are! Whether you’re training for a race, planning spring travel, or just trying to feel better in your body—I hope you’re doing well.

A few updates from UWC:

2024 is wrapping up! Can you believe only 3 weeks left?!

My schedule is pretty booked up (plus a little time off) so if you see something email me ASAP (please tell me how long of a session) & let’s get you in!

You are always welcome to check in with me for dates beyond these or for cancellations and waitlist additions.

If you are looking for specific dates or for before/after a race or event; please reach out ASAP! I am happy to schedule more than one appointment at a time. It’s better to have something scheduled and have to tweak it than to forgo all together!

I will also be increasing my prices in January and posting an end of year sale prior to that so stay tuned!!!

Today is Small Business Saturday. I posted about being a small business owner the other day. So here I am again.

Just because we aren’t all blasting you with Sales & Emails & Ads & Texts & more this weekend, or the rest of the year doesn’t mean we aren’t here!

Some of us sometimes offer deals, some of us can’t, or won’t. That’s all ok!!! We are small businesses that likely take the extra time for you. We squeeze you into our schedules sometimes when we can. We find that extra piece you were looking for. We through that extra dessert into your order. Whatever the business, we are personally there for you all year long.

So even if we are a bit quiet on the weekend after Thanksgiving, it’s not because we don’t care. It may be because we do! Not wanting to overwhelm you with more; or get lost in the chaos. But we are here.

Support small businesses to stop closing small businesses.

Sure of course we can’t take all of our business elsewhere sometimes, but consider some changes. Consider whose life this may make just a little better…and sometimes in turn yours too!

I have several small businesses located inside my space that are separate entities from me. I love them all. My neighborhood too. Plus online small businesses. And more!!!

Support small businesses to stop closing small businesses.

Ok, I’m not going anywhere; at least at the moment… but my business certainly has had some struggles. I chose not to grow it on the original direction because of this.

I don’t consider certain franchises my “competition” but to a point they are. What sucks is the fact that sure, I may not have certain bells and whistles so to speak but I (and others) may certainly offer better services, more experience, and in some instances more for less money! (Of course there are plenty of fantastic and experienced therapists working in some of these locations but that is not always the case) Sadly also the therapists do not get paid what you may think they get paid either… so you’re supporting big business that doesn’t pay a living wage.

Is it memberships you want? Talk to me… is it less money (little secret, for the most part I currently do charge less than non member pricing in some spots)

When people think of small business they seem to consider the little candle shop, the small sandwich joint, maybe the corner grocer or even the book store (and if you don’t you should!) Many don’t consider the small service providers (like me). Or even the online or market businesses (yes looking at you my vintage reseller friends). It’s funny when someone even tells me to support small business or asks me to… meanwhile hello…small business owner, are you helping me??

Massage + Acupuncture is one, another acupuncturist, a couple individual massage therapists (including one with some unique skills focusing on grief massage!), and new to us, a menopause care specialist (couldn’t be more perfectly timed)! Happy to give you all the info on these fine individual Small Businesses! (And will talk more about them all soon!)
