1. A pipeline producing 13-22 rural surgeons per year against 1,700 open positions.

3Dhealth's benchmark call data (3,376 calls across 17 years and 40+ states) documents what new patients actually encounter:

→ Median wait doubled from 11 days (2019) to 21 days (2023 peak).

3Dhealth's consumer survey found 28% of patients expect same-day or next-day access for General Surgery. Set that against the reality: a national median wait of 14-21 days, with rural markets frequently stretching to 6-12 weeks.

3Dhealth's President and CEO will be presenting Nobody Answered: What 1,500 Calls Reveal About Access in New Mexico, sharing our statewide New Mexico access data for the first time as a single picture, benchmarked against a national dataset of 115,000+ secret shopper calls across 244 health systems and 42 states.

The findings might surprise you. New Mexico is outperforming the national benchmark on appointment availability and has improved sharply since 2018. But New Mexico patients are more than twice as likely as patients elsewhere to reach voicemail instead of a scheduler.
