Their stand matters more than most people realize. By 1910, Black Americans had acquired a cumulative 16 million acres of rural land — but over the century that followed, 90% of that land was lost because of threats, violent force, or systematic rejection from programs offered to white landowners. 😤 The Booker family is part of a growing movement of Black families who are holding the line. Keeping the land. Protecting the legacy. 👑🖤 Every acre kept is a victory. Don’t sell. 🙌🏾

This school project has big benefits!

Four eighth graders at New Song Academy in Baltimore created Bmore Fresh, an initiative focused on helping their West Baltimore community access fresh, healthy food.

Through the project, Aniya Ponton, Ryeona Watson, Samahj Chestnut, and Logan Reynolds are using what they learned in school to help address food deserts in their city.
