I look at my attachment to perfection today. How I expect myself to act perfectly, to be perfect, and how I judge and punish myself for not being "there" yet.
I examine when I expect others to be perfect, when I allow them and myself no room for failing, learning, growth.
I see when I block myself from the joy of being held, supported, and accepted when I am not perfect, when I'm in lack, when I'm blind to my own resources.
I acknowledge the chilling fear of feeling seen, exposed, embarrassed and I recognize my point if power: I can make a different decision now.
Now that I know it was me who chose to play the perfection game in the first place.
What would it take to surrender the concept of perfection? What would it take to exchange it for a more loving, joyful, harmonious thought?
"Ownership" - I hear my Soul say to me.
So I apologize to myself for expecting perfection when I could've given myself compassion. I apologize to others for expecting perfection and withholding love as a punishment. I ask for forgiveness and I forgive them for expecting perfection of me. I understand now. I can let go.
I ask for support.
And I acknowledge how much I don't want it. And I ask for support with that, too.
And Grace starts pouring in.
And Divine Change - a change I don't need to understand, a change for my Highest Good - starts taking place.
And I feel Peace. ..
