Earlier this month, MadSci CEO Tyler Wanke, MD, MBA, MEM, along with several team members attended CTIP’s 2026 Pediatric Device Innovation Symposium which was a great day of discussion and networking focused on innovation in pediatric medtech.

The is a forum dedicated to pioneering innovation and elevating standards of care for children nationwide, acting as a critical nexus for translating research into clinical practice and driving evidence-based advancements in pediatric medicine.

A special thank you to Bianca Riello, for her part in putting together such an amazing event, as well as Juan Espinoza, Madison Christmas, and the rest of the CTIP team!

It has been a very successful July for MadSci! A number of team members attended various conferences including the HA & RSRI Research Workshop, Hydrocephalus Association’s HA Connect, and Hydrocephalus Society’s World Congress.

MadSci’s VP of Clinical, Adam Zysk, PhD, presented at the Hydrocephalus Association & Rudi Schulte Research Institute Research Workshop on “Hydrocephalus as an Investable Market.”

MadSci co-founder & CMO, Dr. Bermans Iskandar, along with the Batterman Family will be speaking at Hydrocephalus Association’s HACONNECT26 this week on “Who’s Taking Care of Me? Can We Fix the Problem of Accessing Adult Care” on July 24th at 4:15pm.

HACONNECT26 is the world’s largest hydrocephalus conference with over 600 attendees including hydrocephalus patients, caregivers, family members, medical professionals, and medical device manufacturers.

In Dr. Lisa Sanders' recent New York Times article, she highlights an important, often overlooked neurological condition: normal-pressure hydrocephalus.

Often misdiagnosed, NPH can present as a subtle “shuffle” in gait, along with cognitive changes and loss of bladder control - symptoms frequently mistaken for aging, Parkinson’s, or dementia. Yet unlike many of these conditions, NPH is treatable, and, in some cases, reversible, when properly identified.
