A past ADCES President and recognized leader, Dr. Greenwood has advanced the profession through a multitude of initiatives supporting ADCES, diabetes care and education specialists and the peer support community. We wanted to publish her acceptance remarks:

"My hairdresser recently said to me, “Most of my clients complain about their jobs, but you're always excited about yours.” And she's right. How fortunate I am to have a profession I love and that continues to inspire me.
And this community is a big reason why.

I am honored and deeply humbled to receive this recognition from ADCES, an organization that has shaped my professional journey.

To this community, and to the colleagues and friends I've met along the way, thank you. You inspire me, challenge me, and help me keep growing.

Every year, the ADCES conference reminds me why we do what we do. It renews our compassion, reinforces our purpose, and sends us home energized to do more for the people we serve.

So, as you leave this meeting, say "yes" to serving ADCES. You may find it changes your life as much as it changed mine."

Congratulations to Dr. Greenwood on this well deserved recognition!
