The most underrated thing you can do in the New Year that is going to take your wellness to the next level is walk more.

We all know walking is good for your cardiovascular health, getting better sleep and reducing blood sugar spikes after eating.

🚶🏾‍♀️A Harvard study showed that walking briskly for an hour a day cuts obesity promoting genes in half

🚶🏾‍♀️Another study shows that a 15 minute walk reduces sugar cravings and reduces the amount of chocolate you eat in stressful situations

🚶🏾‍♀️Walking 7 hours a week reduces risk of breast cancer by 14%

🚶🏾‍♀️Reduces symptoms of arthritis by lubricating them

🚶🏾‍♀️Boosts immune system. If you walk 20 minutes you reduce the frequency and duration by 43%

Trying to find an easy way to add in more veggies (fiber-which we all need). Add in one of these two veggies that won’t change the flavor but add nutrients.

Spinach: It has vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E including vitamin K. It’s great for glowing skin, digestion and eye health.

Frozen Cauliflower: It is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, folate, and vitamin K. Its has anti-aging properties, digestion and helps with weight loss.

Deciding you want to live a better life can be overwhelming with so much information out there. It’s hard to figure out what works and who is just trying to sell you a quick fix. I tell the clients I work with it starts with your mindset. We have been conditioned to put everyone and everything before ourselves and our health. To do better it begins with believing you deserve better. You are worthy of taking time to move your body, nourishing your body with real food and focusing on your mental health.
