From April 11-17, community partners across Chicago and the western suburbs invite you to celebrate Week of the Young Child and Black Maternal Health at over 30 free, family friendly events!
 
We are co-hosting Storybook Yoga with .oakpark Friday 4/17 10:30 AM.

Week of the Young Child is a dedicated time when we celebrate the importance of early childhood and the families, educators, and advocates who support these important years in a child’s life. This year Black Maternal Health Week falls at the same time and the theme this year is “Rooted in Justice & Joy.” We are thrilled that so many of our community partners will be participating this year to celebrate young children and Black mothers by hosting all kinds of events that connect with these important themes.

“Yogis to Be” is an inclusive, safe space for pregnant bodies to move, breathe, and connect. The primary focus is yoga for the pregnant body or postpartum body - with the option to bring your baby or toddler.

The lovely Ms. Violet will lead you in gentle, yet empowering movement with breathwork and sound healing weaved throughout class. You will leave feeling a sense of community and connection!

Wednesdays 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM
