The 36th Annual American Herbalists Guild Symposium will take place August 14–16, 2026, at the historic YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in the heart of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, just outside Asheville, NC. Surrounded by lush forests and the abundance of late summer in Appalachia, this year’s gathering invites herbalists from across the country to come together in celebration and community.

Nutri-Tea
A tasty and visually appealing blend of nutritious garden herbs. You can also increase the quantity (1 oz herbs) and steep time (4+ hours) to serve as a strong nourishing infusion. You can easily adapt the recipe with the herbs you have on hand. Raspberry leaf, horsetail, marshmallow leaves, violet flowers/leaves, holy basil, etc. are good additions, too. If you don’t like mint, add lemongrass instead. If you don’t like nettle, skip it and add more oat straw.

2 teaspoons nettle
1 teaspoon oat straw and/or tops
1 teaspoon red clover blossoms
2 teaspoons mint(s) of choice
Sprinkle of calendula flowers/petals for color (optional)
Steep in 16 ounces of hot water for at least 30 minutes or as long as you like. Strain, sweeten with honey if desired, and drink.

🌱😎🪴🌻Join me and my herbal friends Saturday June 6 in Concord NH for the NH Herbal Network’s Herb & Garden Day!

✨This year is at a NEW location at Society for the Conservation of NH Forests with indoor classrooms and beautiful outdoor spaces, too! I’ll be there selling my books and teaching a gut health class, and so many of my fabulous colleagues will also be teaching great workshops, leading plant walks, and selling plants and amazing herbal artisan goods. I LOVE this sweet local and super affordable event!

🎟️PREORDER TICKETS NOW for $35 (plus ticket fees) to attend the whole day including workshops! The price goes up to $55 at the door, so it’s definitely worth getting tickets in advance. There’s also a link on the webpage to preorder plants from Jim Warner River farm to help ensure you get the plants you want (you can also just go and buy the that day, while supplies last).
