I’m not saying I’m preparing for the apocalypse…

I’m just saying that if society collapses, my family will have access to an unreasonable amount of arugula.

Will it provide enough calories to survive?

Probably not.

Will we be eating fancy peppery garnish while making questionable survival decisions?

Absolutely.

Some people collect gold.
Some people stockpile canned food.

Apparently, I’ve chosen arugula seeds.

Happy Saturday. 🌱😂

For a long time, I thought chemistry meant butterflies.

The anticipation.
The uncertainty.
The emotional highs and lows.
The constant wondering where I stood.

What I didn’t realize was that many of those feelings weren’t signs of compatibility.

They were signs of activation.

As I’ve healed, my definition of attraction has changed.

Now I value consistency over confusion.
Safety over chaos.
Communication over guessing.
Peace over intensity.

I’ve learned that the healthiest relationships don’t leave you questioning your worth, overanalyzing text messages, or constantly seeking reassurance.

They create enough safety for you to relax.

To be yourself.

To speak honestly.

To trust what you’re building together.

Butterflies can be exciting.

But peace is underrated.

❤️ Save this if you’re learning the difference between anxiety and genuine connection.

In a world that celebrates speed, it’s easy to feel like you’re behind.

Behind in your healing.
Behind in your goals.
Behind in your relationships.
Behind in becoming the person you want to be.

But what if you’re not behind at all?

What if you’re doing the courageous work of breaking patterns that have been running your life for years?

Learning to trust yourself.
Setting boundaries.
Regulating your nervous system.
Choosing growth over comfort.
Healing wounds you didn’t create but have decided to address.

That isn’t falling behind.

That’s doing the kind of work that changes generations.

Be patient with yourself.

Some of the most important progress you’ll ever make won’t be visible to anyone else.

But one day you’ll look back and realize just how far you’ve come.

❤️ Save this for the days when growth feels slower than you’d like.

There comes a point in healing where the goal is no longer just surviving.

It’s living.

It’s speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.
It’s trusting your intuition.
It’s taking the opportunity.
It’s setting the boundary.
It’s allowing yourself to be seen.
It’s choosing the life that aligns with who you’ve become.

You didn’t do all that inner work just to keep shrinking, second-guessing yourself, or settling for what no longer fits.

You fought for your peace.
You worked for your growth.
You earned your self-respect.

Now it’s time to live like you believe it.

Take up space.

Trust yourself.

And stop making yourself smaller to fit into places you’ve already outgrown.

❤️ Save this as a reminder: Healing wasn’t the finish line. It was the beginning.

Some of the most important people in our lives never realize the impact they had.

They may not remember the conversation.

The phone call.

The encouragement.

The opportunity they gave you.

The wisdom they shared.

The moment they chose to believe in you when you were struggling to believe in yourself.

But you’ll remember.

Years later, you’ll still remember the people who made you feel seen.
The people who offered hope.
The people who took the time to listen.
The people who reminded you of your strength when you had forgotten it.

Never underestimate the power of your presence in someone else’s life.

A few words of encouragement may be ordinary to you, but life-changing to someone else.

And if you’re lucky enough to think of someone who was that person for you, reach out and tell them.

Some gratitude should never go unspoken.

❤️ Tag someone who made a difference in your life, whether they know it or not.

There was a time when other people’s moods could determine the direction of my entire day.

If they were upset, I felt responsible.
If they were struggling, I felt obligated to fix it.
If they were disappointed, I carried it with me.

That’s what happens when you’re living in survival mode, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, or constantly scanning for danger and disconnection.

Healing taught me something important:

You can care about people without carrying them.

You can love people without rescuing them.

You can support people without making their emotions your responsibility.

Peace doesn’t come from controlling everyone else’s chaos.

It comes from learning how to stay grounded in your own.

Do the healing work.

Your nervous system deserves the rest.

❤️ Save this as a reminder that not everything happening around you belongs to you.

It’s easy to believe our triggers are only about other people.

But sometimes they’re invitations.
Invitations to look a little deeper.

To get curious instead of defensive.
To explore why certain behaviors, words, or situations create such a strong reaction within us.

Not every trigger is a wound.
Not every reaction means there’s something wrong with you.

But self-awareness has a way of turning life’s frustrations into opportunities for growth.

The people who challenge us the most often reveal something important:
a fear,
an unmet need,
a belief,
or a part of ourselves that’s asking for attention and healing.

Growth begins the moment we stop asking,
“What’s wrong with them?”
and start asking,
“What is this experience trying to teach me?”

❤️ Save this for the next time life hands you a trigger instead of a lesson.

The older I get, the more I realize that judgment is rarely just about the other person.

Sometimes what we criticize most in others points to something unresolved within ourselves.

The confidence we wish we had.
The mistakes we’re afraid of making.
The traits we’ve rejected in ourselves.
The wounds we haven’t fully healed.

This doesn’t mean every observation is projection.

But it does mean that our strongest judgments are often worth getting curious about.

Instead of immediately asking,
“What’s wrong with them?”

Try asking,

“Why does this affect me so deeply?”

That question has taught me more about myself than judgment ever has.

The path to healing isn’t just learning to understand others.

It’s learning to understand ourselves.

❤️ Save this for the next time someone triggers a strong reaction in you.

Healing is about removing the layers of fear, shame, survival patterns, and self-doubt that have been covering up who you were all along.

The version of you underneath the people-pleasing.
Underneath the perfectionism.
Underneath the constant need to prove yourself.

The version of you that knows your worth.
Trusts your intuition.
Speaks your truth.
Loves deeply.
Dreams boldly.

Healing doesn’t take away who you are.

It brings you back to yourself.

❤️ Save this as a reminder: You were never broken. You were buried beneath layers that no longer belong to you.

I’ll never forget the people who took the time to encourage me when I couldn’t see my own potential.

The people who answered the phone.
The people who believed in me.
The people who shared their wisdom.
The people who reminded me who I was when I had forgotten.

Never underestimate the impact of a kind word, a listening ear, or a moment of encouragement.

You may be the light someone remembers years from now.

And if someone was that light for you, don’t forget to thank them.
