Yesterday I got a call directly from a Social Security employee at DisabilityDetermination Services, a.k.a. DDS.

He informed me that the Roseville California office is a year and a half behind on their caseload.

This answers the question:

“What is taking so long?”

This affects all of us. Their hands are tied because they don’t have enough employees, especially seasoned employees; my hands are tied because I can’t speed them up; and your hands are tied because there is simply nothing you can do until they move.

What used to take 60 days, now takes a year and a half. Let that sink in.

I hope this helps individuals understand that at this point, at this time in the Administration, it is just brutal.
