Our Newest Healer in Training!
We are I’m so happy to introduce you to Abby, the newest member of the HD Skincare Solutions team.
If you’ve been by the Chilhowie Library or eaten down at the Riverfront, you may have already met her. Chilhowie is home, and she’ll tell you exactly why she stays — she loves the close-knit feel of it, and the kind of genuine connections you only build in a small town.
Abby begins massage school next week, and she has already started an intensive scalp ritual training. She’ll be accepting Scalp Ritual appointments starting next week. Apprentice massage appointments will open up as soon as she’s ready — likely in about a month.
She is new to the industry, but she brings a grounding presence you feel the moment she walks into the room. In her own words:
"What draws me to massage and bodywork is being able to help people feel better physically and mentally. I love the idea of someone coming in with the stress of everyday life and being able to help them leave feeling a little lighter.”
What has surprised her most in her first week of training is how quickly people let go. Watching a client go from chatting away to sound asleep in the chair has been the sweetest part of it for her.
Off the clock, she’s the oldest of four, and says her family keeps her grounded. You’ll find her baking, trying new recipes, meal prepping, or lost in a good book.
“The best part of my day is seeing a client leave looking more relaxed than when they walked in, knowing I helped give them a moment to simply breathe and let go.”
