Emily and Cobra🤠
Hi, my name is Emily. I have ridden my whole life but have only owned my own horse for about five years. I didn’t grow up in a rodeo family, so everything I have, I’ve worked for. When I started barrel racing after moving to Arizona, Cobra and I had an amazing first season. I didn’t even own my own saddle pad and relied on an amazing group of people who believed in us and let me borrow what I needed.
After finally saving enough for my own tack, Cobra developed health issues and had to take nearly two years off. When she healed, we started over. We ran okay times and occasionally brought home checks, usually just enough to cover our entry fees.
Then, in September 2025 at the South Point, Cobra and I ran our fastest time there and won the biggest check I had ever earned. It felt like proof that all the setbacks and hard work were finally paying off. Winning this saddle would mean more than a new saddle. Cobra has never given up on me and I’ll never give up on her.
