💚 Why I Created S.C.A.R.S.- Healing the Invisible Wounds
The beginnings of this program sat on my desk for nearly two years.
I knew there was something I wanted—and needed—to create. But life kept moving, and so did I.
Then I lost my nephew, Simon, a United States Marine, to invisible wounds that ultimately became too heavy for him to carry.
Everything changed.
Simon gave me the reason I could no longer leave this work sitting on my desk.
His life.
His service.
His struggles.
And his memory are forever woven into the heart of S.C.A.R.S.™
I created this program because I never want another person to believe they have to carry their invisible wounds alone—and I never want another family to lose someone they love because those wounds became too heavy.
Sometimes people don't need to be told to “move on,” “get over it,” or “be strong.”
Sometimes being strong means finally saying:
“I don't want to carry this by myself anymore.”
And that's where we can begin.
🌿 HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER
