Fall is here, bringing cooler weather, changing routines, and a good opportunity to check in on your health. This month, we’re focusing on flu protection, preventive care, an important CFM location update, and a few reminders that can help you make the most of your healthcare.
Get Ahead of Flu Season
Flu activity typically increases during the fall and winter. A few simple steps can help protect you and your family:
- Get your flu vaccine. Annual vaccination is recommended for most people 6 months and older.
- Stay current with your care. Keep routine visits and follow-ups for conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure.
- Protect others when you’re sick. Wash your hands regularly, cover coughs and sneezes, and stay home when appropriate.

Green Street Has Moved to Court Street
As of October 5, our Green Street care team is now seeing patients at:

Patients transitioning from Green Street will find familiar CFM team members along with Primary Care, Walk-In Care, on-site laboratory services, and an integrated Genoa Pharmacy.
If you previously received care at Green Street, please review your appointment reminder carefully for your location, appointment time, check-in instructions, and floor before your visit.

Avoid Late-Cancellation & No-Show Fees
We know plans change. If you can’t make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.
CFM asks patients to provide at least 48 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Giving us enough notice:
- Helps you avoid an applicable late-cancellation or no-show fee
- Gives another patient the opportunity to use the appointment
- Gives our team an opportunity to help you find another appointment time

Insurance Tip: Know Your Plan
As we approach the end of the year, you may begin receiving information about your 2027 health insurance benefits.
Remember: having the same insurance company does not always mean having the same coverage.
Different plans from the same insurer can have different provider networks, copays, deductibles, prescription coverage, and referral requirements.
Before selecting or renewing a plan, consider asking:
- Is my CFM provider in-network?
- What will I pay for primary care and specialist visits?
- Are my medications covered?
- Does the plan have a deductible?
- Do I need referrals for certain services?
For questions about your specific benefits and costs, contact your insurance plan directly.
Don’t Put Off Preventive Care
The end of the year will be here before we know it. Take a moment to check whether you or your family members are due for:
- An annual physical or wellness visit
- Diabetes, blood pressure, or other chronic-care follow-up
- Recommended cancer or preventive screenings
- Vaccinations
- Medication follow-up or refills
Staying ahead of these needs can help you enter 2027 with your preventive care on track.
