💧 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY — MY SECRET WEAPON
There’s a reason I keep Celtic Sea Salt and a spoon in my driver’s-side door. 😂
When I’ve been training hard, sweating, fasting, or simply haven’t kept up with hydration, I personally notice a difference quickly when I replenish fluids and electrolytes. My muscles feel more pliable, contractions feel better, and my joints just seem to move better.
What makes Celtic Sea Salt different? It’s a minimally processed sea salt that retains naturally occurring minerals. According to the manufacturer’s laboratory analysis, Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt contains primarily sodium and chloride, along with smaller amounts of magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, copper and phosphorus.
Those electrolytes matter because they help support:
✅ Fluid & electrolyte balance
✅ Normal hydration
✅ Muscle contraction
✅ Nerve signaling
✅ Normal cellular function
✅ Normal heart function
✅ Bone health
Sodium helps regulate extracellular fluid, while potassium is especially important inside cells and plays a major role in fluid balance, nerve transmission and muscle contraction.
One important distinction: I wouldn’t claim that Celtic salt itself magically “hydrates your cells better” than ordinary salt. The science supports the role of water + electrolytes in maintaining fluid balance and normal cellular function; the additional minerals in Celtic salt are present in relatively small amounts.
💧 Drink your water. Replenish what you lose. And pay attention to what your body is telling you.
