It’s akin to scratching that scab till it bleeds, then sleeping on it. And then doing the same thing every day…

There’s a reason why sham surgeries perform the same as real surgeries… forced time to reduce load and reason to slowly progress things….

You can do all the fancy stuff. That’s fine. Anyone can program and prescribe them. And there’s always going to be a multitude of reasons as to why they can prescribe XYZ. This is because the human body is very dynamic and complex. You can almost justify anything.

But when you miss the main thing, you’re sure as s**t going to add months if not years to your recovery.

But you can go ahead and keep doing the same thing over and over. It’s your life and your decision.

There are usually signs

With those signs there are lessons.

Some people get to learn them the easy way. Be like them.

It’s the hard stuff that gets the most juice from the squeeze.

Moving better means moving better under control and intensity. For most of you guys, gravity is not enough.

If you’re triggered by these, then you’re right I made these for you.

Barbells are just a tool, they are indifferent about you. They’re not good or bad they just are.

Here’s my shoulder rehab plan. The key difference is in the nuance in simple tweaks so I can keep training yet rehab my shoulder.

- elevated floor press.
I should be doing a heavy tempo of about 3 to 5 seconds but I got excited. and I’m using pads underneath my back to increase the range that my elbows go back behind my back. This is kind of like needing in the middle of a floor press in a regular bench press. A.k.a. I’m increasing my range of motion as tolerated.

- inverted rows
we don’t stop training back, baby!

- tempo paused, shoulder press.
i’m using tempo into the available comfortable range of motion that I have and pausing for a little extra razzle dazzle.

-tempo weighted deficit push-ups
Close kinetic chain movements have felt better than open chain. So I’m OK to push the range of motion here. I’m still keeping a good tempo for more specific tendon application. And the chest pump is just immaculate still despite the shoulder injury.

- Big Biceps
It’s gonna make your RKC Way better

I haven’t stopped lifting. I’m not doing low level banded exercise exercises that don’t move the needle. I’m not blaming my posture for my shoulder pain.

I’m just taking a more strategic position for my training schedule. It literally is that simple.
